About Ram Kancherla

Managing Partner

Ram Kancherla, MD, serves as the managing partner of the Hudson Valley Cancer Center in the Poughkeepsie, New York, area. As such, Dr. Ram Kancherla treats cancer and blood conditions while maintaining active membership with the American College of Physicians and the American Society of Clinical Oncology.

Performing Immunotherapy infusions and chemotherapy, Dr. Kancherla offers a combination of compassionate, individualized therapies and state-of-the-art equipment that rivals that of Manhattan clinics. His role encompasses the financial and administrative leadership of the practice, as well as positioning the practice at the forefront of medical science.

Dr. Ram Kancherla’s formal education includes an oncology and hematology fellowship completed at Westchester County Medical Center and New York Medical College. He was subsequently active with the latter institution’s Department of Medicine as an assistant professor and directed the hematology/oncology fellowship and Autologous Stem Cell Transplant Program.

From 2006 to 2012, Dr. Kancherla served as the chairman of the Hematology/Oncology Department at MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center. Through his current practice, he sponsors Holly’s List, an iHeartMedia initiative that promotes skin cancer awareness and prevention.
